We now offer a the exciting new recycled PET bags from our Far East factory.

These bags are made from recycled plastic water bottles that are shipped into China from all over the world, utilising those containers that go back to China once they have been emptied at customers premises. That's a much more efficient use of all that space....
Once recycled the material is spun and used to make bags in any size. We can also mix with cotton to give a 'softer more natural feel'...please ask for prices and samples. A fantastic bag that's made from 100% recycled material and is recyclable.

FAIRTRADE ACCREDITATION

Our exclusive partner factory in India has just been accredited by FLO as a Fairtrade supplier of cotton and canvas bags. They are the only the 4th factory in India to acheive this accreditation which is a fantastic result.

Alongside this breakthrough is our's and the factory's membership of SEDEX http://sedex.org.uk. This is the 'Secure Ethical Data Exchange' which gives us complete product traceability and an open exchange of our supplier chain. The membership requires an audit of our factory in India to meet extremely high Health & Safety standards and strict rules for employment and employee standards.

Crazy Bags helps shopping centre become plastic bag-free zone

TV presenter and fashion icon Peaches Geldof has combined her designing talents and green credentials to create the latest ‘must have’ eco bag, exclusively for Golden Square shopping centre in Warrington.

The high street shopping centre approached Peaches to design the re-usable shopper as part of their Bin the Bag campaign, which aims to make Golden Square the first UK shopping centre to become a plastic bag free zone.

5,000 of the Peaches bag have been produced by Sussex-based Crazy Bags.

Crazy Bags MD Andy Steavenson “Demand for eco bags is soaring at the moment but we've found that, because of the financial climate, many clients are leaving their orders later and later. That means that the eight to ten week industry norm lead time is a potential problem. So we've placed large bulk orders for our bags and we now have most lines in stock and ready for immediate delivery.”

The Crazy Bags range of environmentally friendly bags is available in either cotton, canvas or jute. All bags are made from sustainable raw materials and are 100% reusable. Personalised bags can be screen printed and normally delivered within 7 - 10 days.

March 2008

Environmental issues continue to be at the forefront of our industry. We have seen an explosion of interest in more Eco friendly alternatives to the traditional substrates that are used in the bag world. Our enquiry level has risen dramatically for bags that are less harmfull to our planet and the overall response from our clients and our clients 'clients' has been a substantial resistance to the massively increased prices that Eco bags attract.

Traditionally, the mass market has specified bags made from polythene which remains a cost effective bag that is printable with good reproduction of images and colour. However, we've all been used to prices of 10p or less per bag. The Eco range starts at more than10p and rises dramatically depending on what type of bag you desire. A high spec canvas or jute bag can be £1.00 and more.

What we all need to accept is that our costs, not only for bags but everything will rise in order for us to maintain our planet. Our budgets are going to be stretched even further to accomodate the financial pressures that these new products will create.

Crazybags have long since supported this idea of recycling and reusability of the products that we market. Our warehouse in East Sussex is crammed full of Cotton, Canvas and Jute bags ready to be printed. We have a continual flow of stock from our Indian partner factory to ensure that we have stock available when you need it.

  • We have a new 'Recycled' Laminated luxury paper carrier bag just launched, giving you the ability to have your corporate logo and colours on an upmarket traditional looking bag but still be environmentally friendly. Watch out for new 'degradable' laminated films that will enable this bag to be 100% recyclable
  • Crazybags in 2008 aims to become one of the few accredited Fairtrade suppliers of cotton and canvas bags in the UK.
Ban the Supermarket 'free give away' bags In March M & S are the first to charge for their bags, when will the rest follow?
